What is Video Modeling? - "Video modeling is an instructional technique that helps children acquire new skills by viewing, from video, behavior that was performed by another individual, and then imitating that behavior."




Video Modeling Tutorial (School Settings)


  1. Preparation - Choose the Target Skill, Choose the Model Type (Peers, Adults, Self and from own perspective), Choose the Setting, Script the Video (should you include audio narration as it may be distracting)
  2. Record the Video Model
  3. Implementation of the Video Modeling Intervention - Determine Setting and Frequency of Viewing, Determine Timing of Viewing, Determine who will Implement Video Modeling
